He mentioned in the video that its the possibility of integration, and its just an app you can choose to install or not - the app I’m fine with. Baking it into the OS of the watch is an instant cancelation of order from me. Its a bloody watch with a few extra features, I dont want it to talk, Or think, or do anything but tell time and show me notifications from my phone so I know if I can’t ignore it.

I dont disbelieve this - but where did you see that announcement? I wish to know more, and potentially cancel my preorder depending on what I see. I went hunting in their usual channels for updates but not seeing anything related to this.

I just took portable ones and ziptied them to my balcony connected to a solar generator. Works to feed all my electronics and server equipment. It only connects to the grid if its depleted, never feeds power back in.

So you can still do this in the states, so long as you’re not feeding into the grid.
