Mostly just defending against expansion in this position so this number of turrets is probably overkill.
I’m sure this design is a long way from optimal. My logic at the time I built it was something along the lines of:
- just want to squash as many turrets as possible into the space available
- requestor chests are expensive, bots can be slow and get shot down, and I was worried that chaining the turrets might lead to ammo shortages. You might have noticed that the belt is being fed by bots in this case via a single chest.
This has given me some ideas for experimenting with different layouts, thanks
Not sure exactly what the question is but I’m fairly sure the answer is yes. 😀 Anyone can start a Lemmy/Mastodon instance and anyone can create new software that federates with it.
