This whole “too big to fail” schtick really needs to go the way of the dodo. I understand the implications in terms of jobs and whatnot, but the fact that some of these firms have gotten so big that they’ll fracture economies is flat out irresponsible.
Same thing in the US with college campus protestors. It’s not about defending the Jewish faith from hatred, it’s about silencing dissent.
But then they can’t use the broad banner of antisemitism to silence anyone that gets on their nerves. Anti-genocide would just be logical, can’t have that.
So are a significant number of politicians around the world, yet we keep electing them
Tin foil hat time: our world leaders and capitalist owners, especially those of the right leaning persuasion, are purposefully ignoring these things and banking on large numbers of the global population to die off. It’s much easier to control a more diminished, weary, and desperate population.

Contributing and/or maintaining a FOSS project < not getting murdered by my wife for “playing on my computer instead of spending time with my family.”
It could be some of the most mission-critical work imaginable, but she’d still see it as goofing around because I’m not getting paid, and she requires attention. And I love the hell out of my wife, so happy wife indeed equals happy life.
