I think this applies to everything. The “geniuses” we praise (Einstein, Newton, Galileo) are not superhumans with access to secret knowledge that only their mind could unlock, they are just very clever and astute individual that studied a lot and figured out things by applying a mix of logic and intuition to information that everybody already had.
If they didn’t exist, someone else would have (likely) eventually come to the same conclusions. Heck maybe someone did years earlier but never told anybody.

Calculus methods was independently discovered by Leibnitz and Newton at around the same time, that’s why we have different notations for the same thing.

Don’t forget that Fallout New Vegas regularly drops below 15$ with all the DLC

Maybe I’m reading wrong, but your comment seems to imply that Tian’anmen Square was mainstream media lies?

I don’t want any “smart” crap in my house, I don’t want my appliances to be connected to the internet and to be controlled by an app, it should all be self sufficient.
And if you really want to add the option to be controlled remotely (but should not be the only way) make it a local connection, why should my phone connect to the internet to turn on an AC located three meters away?

Since some extensions are “mozilla-approved”, I guess they test it regularly, it wouldn’t be hard to verify if one is really sending anything despite their disclosure.

I agree on the cliffhangers, sometimes unnecessary ones, but I find its plot to be one of the most consistent I watched (especially over 200+ episodes in 10 years), both compared to its contemporary shows and to modern ones.
Sure, many aspects are conveniently hidden behind unrevealed misteries and mistic rules, but it was done in a way that is still enjoyable and that didn’t feel overly forced.

I think that even the best writer in the world cannot find a satisfying reveal of 10 years worth of secrets build-up.
I think the final was the perfect balance between tying all the loose ends and not fully explaining what the island is. (Or rather, they did in some way, they just left some bits to the imagination).
And to everyone thinking that the finale makes it so the entire previous seasons did not happen, sorry but you just didn’t get it.

The Reepublic of San Marino has been independent for a very long time, possibly since 301 ce, that would make it a 1700 years old country that never changed its form of government.

Man, you know why you’re getting downvoted so much? Your comments fall of as EXTREMELY egocentric.
It’s like right-wing people are going around imitating me to confuse people or something.
On the internet, you are not special, just one of the many billions of usernames around. It’s not that right wingers are imitating you, the problem is that so often someone will make a post like yours saying “I get banned so often, this place is impossible”, and when people ask what they did to get banned, they’ll receive some vague bullshit answers like “for saying the truth” or “for any word I speak”, then you see their history and they say the most hateful, racist or mysoginist thing you can think of and they’ll act as the most persecuted of victims. It appears you are doing the same, even if that’s not your intention.
I don’t want to be associated with a place that says “fill out an application and wait to be approved.”
You are on the internet man, if people don’t do that, spam happens and instances get flooded with bots trolling everything until they shut down. If you don’t want to “be approved” you won’t have an account anywhere. Deal with it.
I’m not trying to insult you, just trying to help you, because it looks like you are slightly oblivious to how you present yourself.

Sundried and then put in oil

If you only don’t like the gooey and seedy texture, try dry tomatoes in oil: they get rid of the seeds, of all the liquid part, and become a little harder, but they are stronger in taste.
Can’t really advise you on what to do, but here’s some conaiderations:
• I still use a 4th gen i7 with 16 GB ddr3 and a gtx970, still going fine in its 10th year. Just recently upgraded to a gtx1060 I found around • 10 years old techbology isn’t really any diffetent than today, only slower, but luckily architectural incompatibility is becoming less and less of a problem (except when it’s forced upon for no particular reason, see win11) • gpu especially are extremely backward and forward compatible, if you only need more VRAM, you can use a modern gpu with a very old mobo and cpu and chances are you’ll be as good, and even if you need to upgradr them later because you are cpu-bottleneck, you can still keep the gpu. I’m guessing in 90% of cases, pci lane speed is relatively unimportant wether it’s gen3 or gen5.
Basically, upgradr when you feel you are limited in what you can do, ignore the pressure caused by the generations passing by, as time goes on, I predict we’ll need less and less hardware upgrade until a nee revolutionary technology comes about that changes everything.

That’s pretty good you get disability for sleep dosorder. Not good that you can’t sleep of course, it’s good that your problem is getting a recognition.
Not a good choice for a name, at first I though it was just another linux phone that would be useless for 90% of people.
Very cool project instead, hope this can lead the fondation for a 100% open source mobile OS.

I think the most “pirated” software ever would be WinRar. EVERYONE broke the terms of service by using it more than 30 days, and then simply closing the popup when it opened (and even if you found it annoying, there’s a simple licence file floating around that you can effortly use to get rid of the nag). Milions used it without paying the licence they should have, but WinRar didn’t care, because they are (were) ubiquitous and companies probably happily paid those licences for a software eveybody knew how to use.

Your country is going to elections and a leaked video of one of the candidates happears on social media that shows them raping a child or whatever einous stuff.
Would you like to know if that’s a real video or a foreign country is trying to manipulate your elections to favour an emerging pseudo dictator that will sell your people to someone else? I would like to.
We are not talking about ai memes or trolls, virtually everybody get news and is influenced by stuff found on the internet. Knowing what is real and what isn’t is fundamental to your functioning as a person.

Maybe not perfect upon conception, but after a couple of decades from common adoption, the bicycle really didn’t change much. Sure, you can use lighter and more advanced materials, you can add an electric motor to it (though I wouldn’t classify it as a bycicle) but you can probably take a 100 years old bike and it would work just as good as a modern one.
CS:GO is a free game. I was wondering about pirating a game that is 100% online. Are people downloading this only playing against bots? Are there going to be private servers also rolledback to a previous version? I’m just curious
