The point of the paperclip maximiser is that it doesn’t care about you at all, ‘being nice’ to it makes no difference. It just wants to make paperclips, and will destroy you to do so.

As if some private guns would be any sort of fair fight against the full force of the US military anyway
It’s so interesting to see how people react to something that is so normal to me 🤣
We also sometimes call it The Pound Shop.
Thanks!
So, there are Lemmy apps for Linux? Please share, people, I couldn’t find any when searching flathub (via GNOME Software) for Lemmy!

This isn’t useful for me specifically, but thanks for sharing as
I’m sure many people will find it useful!
I don’t know who is in the right. I think it’s a great idea to show how the Dark Lord isn’t prejudiced in the muggle way, judging people for their gender, sexual orientation, or the colour of their skin, but rather their blood purity only. A black pure blood is obviously superior to a white mudblood.
What do you mean, they give open weights models back that anyone can use. Only the proprietary corporate AI is exploitative.
Every single act you do you do because you think it will benefit you in some way. Either that it will directly benefit you, or it will avert suffering, or it will make you feel virtuous, or prevent a sense of guilt.
Maybe many people do, but there must be some people that are just boring and don’t teach you anything.
That would be the case if corporations owned all the LLMs. However, it is possible to run open weights LLMs locally on your one hardware.
The only drug I do is either prescription drugs, or the caffeine I get from the occasional chocolate.
I like Voyager. It’s FOSS, has all the features, and feels nice to use.
People can misremember their dreams after an event happens, people can be subconsciously expecting an event to happen, and so dream about it, and coincidences also exist.
