It works remarkably well for a lot of things if you put a little effort into it. Depending on the distro, you might have a little more trouble trying to fix something. For my use case it can do gaming, CAD, office work, and some light programming just fine with some quirks and tradeoffs. Lemmy in general is a good place to ask troubleshooting questions too

The problem here is we don’t have a better successor to our shitty system. China is likely to become the next dominant super power but we all know how fucked they’ve been to the Uyghurs, the Nepalese, India with border skirmishes, Asian mercantile boats through naval clashes, and practically every other country with their Wolf Warrior diplomacy. Absolutely. It’s easy for another Occupy Wall Street outcome to happen where this movement just fizzles out if there’s no structure to solidify into. Considering that most Democrats won’t acknowledge or support the movement, someone must rally these people into making an organization out of this momentum to challenge establishment Dems and Republicans. Long lasting and meaningful plans for governmental change have to come from this otherwise we’ll just stall out and get nothing done. Again.

The closest thing we’ll see for that kind of legislation is when BYD inevitably makes it to the US. Even then they might word it to say all data traffic from cars would have to go to US servers. These piece of shit politicians work for the data harvesting ghouls, after all.
