The thing about protesting is that the government needs to give a shit for it to have any effect, unless we’re talking about actually forcefully changing who is running that government. We’ve been screaming at concrete buildings for decades and yet none of the issues we care about are dealt with. In good times we have propagandists to placate the masses even if we had a government who was afraid of losing voters, and in “bad” times well we still have propagandists, but we also have a government that couldn’t possibly care less about what we think. I still protest, have gone to many rallies and such, and while the feeling of community is nice at the end of the day all I feel like I ever accomplished was yelling at a building with a bunch of other people.

The only way this administration is changing direction is when the wealthy go after them :(

And the “Liberal MSM” started running “Bernie loves Castro” stories left and right. Hell one of the chucklefucks at “far left MSNBC” said that if Bernie won he’d put people like himself “against the wall” invoking an image of firing squad executions…

Being ruled by billionaires works both ways I guess lol one can only hope.

As an American I can say its actually gotten a lot easier, it’s all sad. Just sad all the time.

There are practically endless similar examples because MAGA doesn’t stand for anything it claims to

“Trump is the president for peace, Biden will start WWIII!”

Parroting fox news: “we don’t need to be so friendly anymore, we need to take Canada and Greenland by force if necessary.”

“Trump will bring down inflation and the price of food!”

Parroting fox news: “It’s our duty to pay higher prices to support American businesses!”

“Trump and the GOP represent the party of law and order, they will protect the constitution!”

“What Trump says goes, anyone obstructing his plans are traitors! He deserves a 3rd term! He who saves his country breaks no laws!”

MAGA stands for anything that gets them what they want in the immediate moment and then tosses it away when their needs change… It’s infuriating.

I’ve literally experienced the reason these things are needed, sorry friendo.

I’m a white guy so I get people talking as if I’m “one of them” and have had interviews where the guy literally said “it’s hard to find white guys for this work, I don’t want some Dominican walking in a store we’re servicing with our logo on.”

There have been studies that have been done using the exact same resume the only difference was the name. One was the typical “John Smith” and the other was a something like “Jamal Brown.” There was an overwhelming preference to choose John over Jamal. These things are needed because America is a stupidly racist country whether you want to believe it or not. All you need to do is look at the current administration for proof of that.

I fukcing hate these people so goddamn much… They’ve taken something meant to protect against discrimination and sold it as being discrimination…
