        Decolonization can be done peacefully.

I don’t think that will happen, but it could!

I also support Palestinian resistance, and that’s very different from Israeli violence inflicted onto Palestinians. Indigenous resistance to colonization is always justified.

          Decolonization can be done peacefully.

50 years ago you might have had a chance to make it happen, since most Israeli people would have been born elsewhere. Now you have multiple generations of people born and raised in Israel. They have nowhere else to go.

And you’ll have to forgive me for being skeptical about a Muslim majority Palestine being tolerant of religious differences if they regained control of the whole area.

So, ignoring the fact that “Muslim” describes one’s faith, not race, do you honestly believe that a Muslim majority Palestine is going to drastically more tolerant than all the other Muslim majority countries in the area? What signs are there that would point to that being the case?

The existence of Israel is part of what causes that intolerance within majority Muslim countries. Israel, through its own racist apartheid and colonialism, has inflamed resentments in the region against non-Muslim peoples.

But Israel doesn’t deserve all the blame! The other cause is the US actively propping up other repressive regimes in the region, as well as murdering so many people’s families that they see no choice but to take up arms against the Great Satan.

The only way to believe that Islam is some kind of uniquely backwards and primitive religion is through racism. This situation is a product of recent history.

“Muslim” isn’t a race. Frankly all abrahamic religions are backwards, the difference is you can change your beliefs, unlike ethnicity/race.

The word you’re looking for is islamophobia btw. It seems english doesn’t have a blanket term for religion-based hate/bigotry.

Uh huh. All evils in the middle east are Israel’s fault. And if not them, than the Americans. Sunni vs Shiite violence has killed more people in the area than the Americans and Israelis combined, and started over a 1000 years ago, but somehow that’s the Americans and Israelis fault too.

But hey, don’t let reality’s shades of grey ruin your pretty black and white imaginary picture.
