I work 6 days a week, 10 hours a day. My to-do list today is Yard work, cooking for the week. cleaning, washing clothes, and small jobs, it can do.
Same as every day :
- Make a To Do li… oh squirrels !
- Visit the house where Martin Luther lived
- Buy a Perry Rhodan hefte (an SF pulp serial magazine that has been published weekly since 1961) at a newsstand after not reading one for over 40 years
- Eat my first currywurst since I arrived in Germany three days ago
It’s not even 8 AM here yet. Guess the first item on my to-do list is ‘write a to-do list’.
- Muck about with Netbird (oops, wait, that wasn’t on the list!)
- Walk the dog.
- Tidy the garden.
- Replace the shower curtain.
- Clean and lubricate the bean-to-cup coffee machine.
- Book holiday flights.
-
Make breakfast for kids
-
Go to work
-
Not sure what it says, but I just got a text from my wife so there’s at least one more thing I gotta do
-
Ensure kids all have clean uniforms for school tomorrow
-
Shop for a dining furniture set that sits 4 people. We just eat at the kitchen bar but since we’re having guests for the first time next month, we need a proper dining table.
I had a pretty low key day today, and things went smoothly and painlessly. Just had to:
1: Get dressed for sexy Sunday
2: Go shopping for a friend’s last minute birthday present
3: See said friends, hang out for a bit
4: Go home
5: Make dinner
Step five is all that’s left, and prep is done so it should be easy peasy.
I feel bad for you though, that’s a brutal work schedule. I remember doing 50-55 hour weeks and not having any time or energy left to really care for myself, doing even more than that is just wild to me. I hope it’s at least setting you up for a lovely future!
Every day I sink lower. When I think the bottom approaches, the foundation cracks and I am pulled even lower then I thought possible.
Time to drink about it.
