First book, Hyperion was mind blowing. Second one, Fall of Hyperion was very good. So i picked up the third one, Endymion. It was a slog but not awful, i didn’t hated it. Because of sunk cost fallacy i started the last one, The Fall of Endymion. It was pure shit, if i wasn’t listening the audio book i would bever have finished it. It was a test of patience.
Endymion was bad. And then came Rise of Endymion which made Endymion feel like masterpiece.
Yeah, these two were such a step down from Hyperion and Fall of Hyperion.
Why did you read a sequel to a book you hated?
