As everyone knows, Reddit is cannibalising itself and the longer time goes on, the users will have deleted their accounts and/or migrated to somewhere else, or they will simply forget about their accounts and log-in details.
An anti-vaxer set a remind me for one year in the future during the Covid pandemic because I laughed at him when he suggested that I was going to die from the side effects of the Covid vaccine.
I didn’t die from the side effects of the Covid vaccine and I never heard from him again.
What a gucking moron. Their conspiracy never made any sense. The government wants to kill people who will head their advice with a deadly vaccine but leave the people critical of the governments advice be?
Yup. Kill the compliant ones and leave the trouble makers alive. When I asked them about that their brains went into overload. Dude, they’re leading the anti vaccine conspiracy theories so the assholes won’t get it and die.
I wonder if that bot still works, given they switched to making developers pay for using the API.
The last time I was on, I still saw it running (even after the API bs).
I’m willing to bet that Reddit granted them an exception because it’s a widely used utility and isn’t a client that obscures what they really want you to see (ads).
Even then, the creator might decide to shut it off if they don’t use Reddit any more. It’s probably not hugely resource intensive, but you probably wouldn’t want to deal with support requests from a site you don’t care about any more.
Just use the calendar on your phone. Set an event for a year from now titled “Go back and see if I was right” with a link to the comment in the description.
