"[Roma] are the largest minority on the continent and their situation is deplorable in terms of lack of respect for their human dignity, human well-being, being targeted for hate, exclusion, and shoved to the edges of our societies," European Council commissioner for human rights Michael O’Flaherty told EUobserver in an interview.
Kids that are legally mandated to be in school shouldn’t be used for begging in the streets instead. Oops apparently I’m “racist” now for not “respecting” a beautiful “culture”.
Actually, you weren’t. Up until that last sentence.
Kids have historically been used for labour since agriculture was invented. They would learn more out on the fields that they would being stuck in a square grey box. I believe the current administration has plans to curtail age restrictions for employment.
Women were historically beaten, Kids were historically married off at a young age. They won’t learn more in the fields, if they don’t visit a school. We have billions of uneducated farmers to prove that.
Kids need to be in school and get the occasional work or field experience. Not the other way around.
